THERE WILL BE 40 ADDITIONAL GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS available at the door on a first come, first serve basis. They go on sale at 5:30PM and we suggest arriving before that time to ensure you get yours! General admission tickets at the door will cost $65.
What should I wear?
Be comfortable. No shoes, no shirt, no service. Other than that, it’s all good. If you wear a tux, you’re going to be laughed at. Just saying’.
When should I show up?
VIPs can get in at 5:30, and general admission starts at 6:00. At the door ticket sales will start at 5:30, but you’ll have to wait til 6:00 to get in.
Yep. When you get there, we’ll hook you up with wings AND onion rings. Popcorn and pretzels too. VIPs will enjoy some additional treats including smoked pork chops, Thai bites, Sushi Cones, Shrimp…. basically a cornucopia of goodness!
First off, there’s a big event at the Auto Museum until 5pm. Some roads will be closed, and we’re told that the best access will be from Mill Street. Second, valet baby! The Siena will have extra staff on hand to make sure it is easy and fast. Besides a small and appropriate tip, it’s FREE!
It’s November in Reno, so wear a coat. Worry not, there is a free coat check!
What’s all this I hear about a raffle?
Yup. Tickets are just a buck (or 25 for $20) and prizes include things like 7 nights and 8 days in Cabo. A keg of Backwash. A Carson Valley getaway and 15 or so other things. We’ll also auction off a VERY special bottle of beer (2012 three floyds Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout. Go ahead. Google it.) and a year’s worth of coffee from Blind Dog (Yep. They’ll send you 4 bags of coffee a month for a whole year!). This whole thing is a fundraiser for a great cause…. so buy those tickets, and bid often. If that doesn’t float your boat, you can make a donation or buy a t-shirt.
We’re at a hotel — stay the night fergoshsakes. Or call a cab. There will be some great homemade sodas… and all Non-alcoholic beverages are free. Be safe. Be smart. Take care of yourself and take care of your friends.]]>
In 2012, all but about 20 tickets sold in advance, and the remaining 20 or so tickets were sold in the first 15 minutes at the gate.
Tickets are selling considerably faster this year than last and we fully expect that there will be no tickets available at the door. General Admission tickets will likely sell out before the VIP tickets go. If you want to be a a part of Backwash 2013, please get your tickets EARLY.
What makes Backwash so popular? Is it the great cause that you’re supporting when you attend? Is it the spectacular one-of-a-kind beers? Maybe word got out that Buster Blue will be playing this year. We’re not 100% sure, but we sure are glad that it’s working, because Project GO and the young people we serve need the support. Cheers!]]>
And of course, there are lots of Belgians, Lights and Pale Ales for you to sample. We even have a few meads and ciders this year!
You can see the complete listing on the brewer’s page!]]>
There are a limited number of rooms at this steeply discounted rate, and they are expected to go fast.]]>
